Welcoming the 2025 Chamber of Medical Devices Team

The Chamber of Medical Devices is pleased to present its newly elected leadership team, which is well-positioned to promote innovation, teamwork, and expansion in the medical technology industry as we enter 2025. We seek to improve healthcare solutions under their direction by promoting progressive policies, bolstering industry standards, and cultivating international collaborations.

Greetings Mr. Gehan Seneviratne, the appointed board president; Dr. Clive C. James, the elected senior vice president; Mr. Devin Goonewardena, the vice president; Mrs. Rushani Goonetillake, the secretary; Mr. Wasantha Abeyasinghe, the assistant secretary; and Mr. Thafgir Ammon, the treasurer.

The Chamber of Medical Devices and the CPM Sri Lanka have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote cooperation, knowledge sharing, and industry expansion in a historic move towards the advancement of medical technology and healthcare solutions.

This collaboration signifies a shared commitment to:

  • Market Access: Encouraging more seamless trade and investment options for medical device producers;
  • Workforce Development: Collaborative training programs for healthcare professionals on developing technology.
  • Research & Innovation: Aiding clinical studies and pilot programs for cutting-edge medical equipment.

We offer our sincere congratulations and best wishes for even more success in the years to come as we consider the Chamber of Medical Devices’ outstanding accomplishments. We are certain that the Chamber will flourish under the inspiring direction of the incoming President, Board of Directors, and Council Members.

  • Promote medical technology innovation, leading to ground-breaking developments.
  • Improve industry cooperation by closing gaps between manufacturers, healthcare providers, and regulators.
  • Develop international collaborations to guarantee that medical devices fulfil the strictest safety and effectiveness requirements in the globe.
